This is teetering on a Ball Scientist thread but hear out my far fetched idea that actually could happen...

We will sign an all star PG in the off season...a very pissed off one.

Baron Davis...He is going to opt out after that BS (no pun intended) that the drunk Don Nelson pulled last night. In case you didnt know the Drunk Don benched Baron for the ENITRE 2nd half of a game they had to win to have any chance for the playoffs.

Sure he has a player option for 17mil but I think he is so sour and has enough money that he would actually considering opting out. He has a friend down in LA named Kobe Bryant who he really wants to play with. With how good the Lakers could be next year I think this could have the making of "Lakers re-reloaded".

Can you say mid level contract?

While I do know that Baron Davis has said before that he'd love to play in Los Angeles, I don't see him coming in the off-season. We are already stacked at the PG position with Fisher/Farmar/Vujacic (who can also play SG/SF).

Would I want it to happen? I would. Will it? No.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

I would LOVE to get Baron if we could, but lets be honest here guys...its probably not gonna happen..

well, a trade could happen but it's still super doubtful.

lamar fits the mold of what don nelson would want.

in the end, there's no need for baron anyways.

I love Baron Davis.. He is one of my all time favorite players on the planet. I mean he is truly gifted.

He is also an awful fit for the triangle. He'd be one of the most worthless PG's in the triangle. He's a defensive gambler, that often makes mistakes in a slower half court setting. His gifts are highlighted when he is running, not stopping. He's not going to run the cuts.. And he wont take a pay cut at his age. He's still got plenty of years left.

Just my opinion.

There's no chance in heck he opts out his agent said so there are no teams that can pay him 17 mill if he does, so he's there for next season.
