Kobe Bryant tried to trade Andrew Bynum and even himself, but the way in which he tried to trade Lamar Odom for Jermaine O'Neal could have been the biggest mistake of all.

The Lakers and Kobe need to do an about-turn in considering Odom's future in Los Angeles. On Sunday, Odom didn't score in the 30's like Pau Gasol and Kobe, but he was their most valuable player and it is he, not Kobe or Gasol who stirs the Lakers' drink.

If he continues to play the way he's been playing for the last couple of months, I don't see how we can be beat.

its funny because even though lamar is not the best shooter (he has been shooting horrible everytime i see him take a shot the last couple games of the seasons and game 1)
he seems to have the biggest impact, all the little things he does, ESPECIALLY rebounding never gives up , his passing his lil drives to the hoop.....him keeping the game at a favorable position when kobe was on the bench.....
Lamar has been very important as of late.

This is nothing new. Lamar has been the biggest X factor in winning/losing for the Lakers the past three years.

Right now, he is healthy and motivated and we all see what everyone thinks Odom could be. Right now, he is playing like we all want him to, basically great.

The problem with him is, we have only gotten to see this Lamar for about 50 games over three years. Ever since Gasol has been on the floor Lamar lives up to his potential.

Will he get injured again? Probably. Will he start to lose his focus in the future? I dont know.

Yup. Kobe will do his thing, Pau is consistent so same thing applies with him. Odom must play like an All Star if LA wants to win that trophy.


Give us those 18 points, 13 boards and 6 assists stat line all the way Lamar!
