Kobe to Critics: "Shut Up"
Quote:
I'm with Kobe on this. The amount of overreaction I've seen since Tuesday night is incredible. Calm down, relax and remember that it's not how you start, it's how you finish. We're going to be fine in a month or two and nobody will remember this start to the season.

A new offense with new players in a banged up preseason is a good reason to have them on a slow start? Stop drinking the kool aid Kobe!

Re: Kobe to Critics: "Shut Up"
I watched the video then heard Stephen A pulling his "Well I know Kobes not talking about me, because he has my number and if he was talking about me, he'd be calling me!" then he goes on to say he agrees with Kobe, even though before Kobe said that he was talking about how the Lakers were in trouble.
The guys a worthless piece of shit.

Re: Kobe to Critics: "Shut Up"
lol at the Steven A stuff.
totally healthy I have my concerns and now seeing it 1st hand I am still concerned.Nash has been most successful doing it his way dribbling around and distributing. His only other valuable asset is his ability to zhoot the ball and he's not finding many chances to do that so now his lack of defense is becoming the defining characteristic of his play now. I would expect Kobe to say what he said he's defiant about everything and he can make adjustments to any style of play change. But Nash and Metta not so sure. Howard can always post up and they'll break iot to give him those chances but Nash needs the ball more. when has the Princeton ever won anything. I heard brown say Nash never won doing it his way this way hasn't won shit either. |

Re: Kobe to Critics: "Shut Up"
That's the thing though. Nash's style of play hasn't won anything either. Even he acknowledges that. The Princeton will hinder his production. Nash has the green light to pick and roll whenever he wants. Brown has said this and so has Nash. Nash himself is forcing the Princeton because he knows that in a seven game series, teams take away what you want to do (Pick and Roll) and the speed of the game slows down. Having a structured half court motion offense will be the key to getting wins in the playoffs. The plan is to install the Princeton. Learn it till its second nature. Once it's learned, Nash can pick and roll, run and gun to his hearts content.

Re: Kobe to Critics: "Shut Up"
And the offense was fine against Portland anyways. We scored 106pts on 50% shooting whilst giving up 24 extra possessions in the form of turnovers. The defense needs work.

I'm giving this princeton offense 'til the end of this month. If no substantial improvements are seen then either replace it with a simpler one or sack Coach Brown.

You don't trade for Nash knowing his skillset and say okay now I'm gonna put you in a system that goes away from your strength's. A system that no one has won a title with. |
