I have to say that I am not a fan of our sub rotation. Brown is trying to keep one of Dwight/Pau on the floor at all times and I think that is okay, but I think it should be more important to have one of Nash/Kobe playing at all times. I know Nash is injured right now so that screws it up, but we need a playmaker to play with the reserves. We have good finishers on the bench but no creators.

I also think we need to slide Jamison to the 4 and Ebanks to the 3 and use Meeks as Kobe's backup. Hill can play the 5 for stretches to try and keep Pau and Dwight's minutes down.

Kobe with the second unit would be a disaster in my mind. Kobe would force like crazy... which some will say is a good thing with the bench unit, but 1-3 fadeaways from 20 feet out are never a good option, regardless of who you are.

I like it with a big man. Gives them someone to dump the ball into to create offense. Blake, Jamison and to a lesser extent Ebanks can all hit open jumpers. What's killing the bench so far is that Jamison isn't doing ANYTHING. It's really the only thing about this slow start I am worrying about lingering all year.

I agree with Jamel. Kobe playing hero ball for longer than he needs to is something that I'd rather not see in extended minutes in the regular season.

Just to be clear, I would have Kobe and Pau playing together with some subs and then Dwight and Nash playing together for other stretches.

I think Kobe hero ball would be better than what our 2nd unit is currently doing, but I would hope that that is not what would happen.

I absolutely disagree with amel Kobe playing with only one big on the floor is a good thing His game has been severly obstructed by always having the lane clogged full of bigs. With the smaller unit he can hit the gapos actually pass more to shooters and be the steadying hand that unit needs.

Howard with that 2nd unit is terrible simply because he's not a good passer and is prone to turnovers.

i wanna see more Meeks and Morris and less Ebanks and Jamison who's playing like shit.

So did anyone notice tonight that Bickerstaff had two starters in with the bench at all times? Second quarter was mainly Morris, Kobe, Jamison, Hill and Howard. Then in the 4th quarter it was Pau, Jamison, Metta, Meeks and Morris.

Morris and Hill were great. Even though they threw up a ton of bricks I loved how aggressive Meeks and Jamison were. Tawn had TWO post ups this game and I don't remember him ever doing that as a Laker. This is a man who was arguably the best back to the basket scorer in college basketball in the 90s.

I like Ebanks but offensively he is kind of a "fill in the blanks" guy. Our second unit needs more gunners and creators. Ebanks shouldn't play unless Metta or Kobe go down.

This is how Brown should've utilize the bench.

Brown went on record saying he liked Ebanks' length and he thought he was a decent/great(?) defender making him the primary backup to Kobe (before MWP) resulting in Meeks living in the dog house.
