Re: Game #41: Lakers (17-24) @ Grizzlies (26-14)
This is a winnable game.
Memphis is struggling, 2-4 in their last 6 and 8-8 since opening at 18-6. The Rudy Gay trade talk is clearly impacting this team negatively. The Lakers need to finish out the quarter, especially the fourth. They were right there tonight with Chicago with 4 minutes to go and imploded. |

Maybe Jamison and Duhon will take more than 3 combined FG attempts this game. Or better yet, maybe they won't play.
The Lakers have lost a lot of winnable games in January. I'll try to stay positive, so maybe this is where things turn around. |

Re: Game #42: Lakers (17-24) @ Grizzlies (26-14)
The Grizz are like the Pacers of the West, so it should be a pretty tough game.
As with any game for LA, its winnable because of how talented they should be. Just depends on what team shows up. From how porous your defense has been all year I expect a game from Z-Bo.

No Marreese Speights to worry about - Memphis gave him and Wayne Ellington to Cleveland today

Re: Game #42: Lakers (17-24) @ Grizzlies (26-14)
the good news is that I lost track of the date and woke up this morning thinking that this game was already played and I'd be reading the post mortem to yet another loss, the bad news is that I see no reason to expect anything different tomorrow

What would lead anyone to think that we would win this game? I will give us a 41.5% chance.

Re: Game #42: Lakers (17-24) @ Grizzlies (26-14)
Got a lot of posters here who just look at teams' records but don't really analyze if they are on an upswing or downswing.
Just look at the Grizzlies, can't score and that's they way they started this game. I repeat: 2-4 in their last 6, and as mentioned on tonight's telecast, they haven't broken 85 points in any of those six games. They are just as bad as Lakers (lately). |

Kobe throwing all kinds of shit up; last two have gone in.
Watch. The rest of the team are spectators again, so I would suppose Memphis will take over the game. But that doesn't mean a blowout...not with Memphis scoring in the 80s. |
