Game 3 is Sacto ready to win their first playoff game in Staples?
3 days off, Kobe and Shaq have time to rest their injuries and sickness. But then again so does Peja.
This is obviously a more talented Kings team than the past two years, but I still see the fear in their eyes. It was unrealistic to expect the Lakers to beat such a dominant home team twice in a row in their place. But if Shaq get's some help from Kobe now I see this series going back to Sacto with the Lakers up 3-1.
Welcome Jemel fellow Mod. Fell free to come post on the Raptors board, we love the debate with fellow fans of opposing teams.
I don't see Sactown winning a game in Staples. They got lucky with Kobe having that stomach flu and getting slowed abit, and I also don't see it in their eyes. Kobe and Shaq look serious on the court, they have that killer instinct. Webber and Vlade and crew are too busy crying to the refs after every call, and we know that won't get you a championship ( just ask AI and Deke).

Hopefully, for all nba fans, the Kings will get Peja back and this can become a series that will go down as one of the best. At least, that is what I would prefer to happen. I love to see knock-down, dragged out types of series! I want some competitiveness, not the "lay down and die before it is even begun" types of games. Those kinds of series bore me to death.
"Let's get it on" - as they say in "Ultimate Fighting" - should be what the Kings have for an attitude. I mean it isn't as though they have no hired guns. At least Bobby Jackson isn't afraid of any Laker guard - good for him, as he has helped to make it interesting so far.

Jackson is the only King that appears is without fear, that's for sure.
I believe the Lakers can and will take both at home, because: (1) they are embarrassed about last night — they did not play smart ball, and (2) they will step their game up because of that.
Plus, even though the Kings have played really well on the road this playoff season (4-0), they still haven't played well in Staples.
You are more than likely right about the Lakers being focused when they get to Staples. They have the championship rings and the knowhow, but I'm still hoping that the kings make it really tough, maybe even winning one at Staples. That would make for such an exciting series going back to Arco!
I can see it all now, if that were to happen! Then the Lakers would be getting into the "Championship Mode" of play, fighting to retain their place at the top! The Kings would be the underdogs they truly are - fighting for a place in nba history!
That would be something for all nba fans to witness a real series, knock down, all out getting after it type!
Let's Get It On!!"

sup laker fans, i normally wouldn't think of posting here; but my hatred for the kings has burgeoned to such an extent, that i have to reveal it to u guys..
i hate the kings, i hate their harlem globetrotter-wannabe offense with the excessive behind the back passes...i hate how they try to shoot the lights out every night; i hate their defense, their flops, and their steal attempts even when they're blowing out the opponent by 35(see, Vlade/Christie vs. Knicks @ Arco, this season)
i hate chris webber especially -- constantly celebrating, half of his "highlights" on tv are of him smiling or flailing his arms into the air in rejoice; it pisses the hell out of me....and, he mos def needs to rid himself of that disgusting headband; he's trying to copy off PP and has nowhere near the talent pierce has.....i cant stand his offense, gay little baby hook shots and he continuously falls into love with that terrible jumper of his.
i hope u beat those beyotches winnin 3 straight
just needed to get that off my chest here, cuz i know i'll have many a supporter in the lakers board...
I like some things about the Kings and really don't "hate" any team. In fact, I like quite a few teams! Although I do live the closest to the Dallas Mavericks, their lack of "D" has always been a turn off to me.
So, Kash, are you a Paul Pierce fan and/or a Boston Celtics fan - since you mentioned him in the same sentence as CWebb?

Man I know how you feel. About the only guy on that team I can respect is Jackson. He's not scared or intimidated, he doesn't do behind the back passes, he takes it to the basket and doesn't try all this finesse crap. Before the playoffs he even said that the Lakers would lose without Homecourt. Think Webber would ever say something like that? Also what was up with Chris putting his hand to his ear when the Kings sealed it? I didn't see him doing that when they had a big lead that they almost choked. I have a hard time hating Vlade though. I still remember when he was the Lakers MVP and one of the most underated centers in the league. He's got pretty good personality to.
The West may have the more talented teams, but outside of the Lakers they are all pretty soft.
I like Vlade well enough, but I like Pollard better. He is one tough dude and funny, too. I really like Bobby Jackson the most. Peja is intriguing from what I have seen. His game is growing.
Fisher is a BULL and he is more important than some LA fans have said on other forums. He really is solid and controls the tempo more than some give him credit for doing. I just like his bullish attitude.
I like several on the Kings team and several on the Lakers team....which makes the wcf fun for me.

I know what you mean, as I had Bobby Jackson as my first avatar, as Mike wasn't there yet. I think I will take advantage of changing my avatar from time to time. Great feature of this forum!
Love the Knicks, too. Have followed them for a long time. Ewing was one heck of a warrior - one of the true greats of this game.
I also love the game of Paul Pierce - all around a great swingman and so dang strong, too.

THAT was one strange game - at least from my point of view. Shaq to me still dominated, but the rest of the team seemed in a stupor for different stretches of time.
I guess this might turn into the series I wanted!
