Exclamation Proof You Don't Need To Know Sports To Be A Sportswriter!

Read this article and tell me this guy knows basketball...it's a different game in a different era, Royce, you numbskull!

I thought it was difficult to imagine that this writer is really a sports writer, so I clicked on his name "archives" and read his one feature. Amazingly, it showed his sporting knowledge is limited to movies:

You're both full of it!

You're both full of it!

That article was right on. You're Laker fans. Of course you're going to think that somebody that writes something bad about your team is a total moron. But everybody else in the league and the fans agree with Royce. Everybody else is just sick of the crap that they let Shaq get away with. And more NBA fans follow one of the other teams, than the Lakers. So why is it so ludacris to want the refs to call the same game for everybody? There was not one part of that article that was off at all.

Rifleman's not a Laker fan, Luke.

The game has changed. It's back to the Wilt era, when Wilt was accused of much of the same type of bullying that Shaq is now. I don't know if you are old enough to remember the Wilt vs. Russell era, but I am, and I'm telling you that Shaq's play reminds me A LOT of Wilt's play.

i think coolhandluke is right, with all the respect i have have for the big guy.
shaq isnt talented, nor is he good at the game, his a force,a giant but a little quicker than most giants,he couldve played a linebacker even better.
i bet he havent work on his game once in his life, and if you compare him to the allen iversons or t.brandons that there out there, its a joke, you know how much they had to work to play like this??????
but unfortunaly,its a part of the game,his dominent,not good.
and about wilt,he was so so so much better then sahq, and he was also talented, you say you so him play, then you know thet he got a pretty good j' from midcourt, and a hook shot and every thing, but he had a clear advantage and phili and la used him for that, but he certainly knew how to do other things.
so if it comes to wilt or shaq?!?! its pretty much a no brainer.

nah, i'm not saying that...i just think that it's his size that is allowing him to dominate and be unstoppable, you know what i mean?

I am not a Laker fan, but I have liked Shaq's game since I first saw him play in Orlando. I agree, he is dominant! I also think his size makes him dominant, but I also know he has great skills and his footwork is excellent and always has been. He has a big variety of shots, from turn around hook shots, to jump shots, to an up and under shot.

I also think in his own book where he mentions that he took muscle enhancement drugs has made him more aggressive than he was in his early years. That is one reason he has gained weight, not because he's lazy - he is not lazy. He works on his game and I have seen steady development in him from his first year in the league.

To this basketball fan, his skills are there for anybody to see, just as his size is there to see.
