Over the summer, I mean. We kept hearing Bender and a first to LA from a certain source that was convinced the trade was going to go down. I'm glad it didn't go down because now it looks like Bender is going to retire. Looking back at his abbreviated career, it's amazing that Indiana traded Antonio Davis for him. The guy has done next to nothing in his career. It's sad because he's really skilled, as a perimeter player. He could shoot and handle like a SF but people were always trying to make him into something he wasn't (an interior player). At least he got a decent contract out of his short stint in the league.
