no he didn't, he doubled with the bases loaded as a pinch hitter. Shouldn't you know this if you have Sox as your avatar?
He didn't start because.. wait for it... ozzie has been looking to give him random time off because he's not hitting the ball well. he homered Wednesday which is what you meant to say.

mlb.tv it's only 120 bucks for a full year and you get all the games (except the national games). not that you'll watch any of them but it's nice to know you could right?
|
Yeah, that might be best. That way I can ease myself into watching them by having my box score right next to it. I mean, have you seen the fields!?!?!?! They're bright and green and brown and stuff. Not for me, I only like the white and black box scores. Maybe I'll try it your way, but who knows?

And before you say anything, I've already explained why BA is uselss. It's useless because there are better ways of showing how effective a hitter is. It's still a legit measure of how often a player gets a base hit of some kind in his at bats.
|
lol if you say one thing is useless than say something else is just as legit as that thing you're saying they're both useless... right? If batting average is useless and you say WARP is just as legit as BA, then you're saying WARP is useless.
This... isn't... rocket science.

Ozzie also likes to bunt and do all kinds of crazy **** that actually reduce the chance of his players scoring runs. Ozzie should not have a job managing a major league team, and the only reason people don't realize this is because he won the WS because of insane pitching.

I guess "fair" was supposed to be less than "doing well", so we agree. He's a decent outfielder, and I like the fact that he can play a little 1st base (especially since Konerko is nursing a sore hand and may end up on the DL at some point). I guess I expect him to improve a bit as the weather warms up... he is also leading the league in pitches seen per at bat, which is helpful to entire lineup.
We'll see... its been an okay start followed by a prolonged slump thus far...

It must be rocket science. Legit is not absolutely a synonym for good. Legit, to me, simply means that it measures something accurately. BA definitely is accurate in determining how many hits a guy gets per at bat. There's no denying this. However, this isn't a good measure of how good a hitter is, because, as I have said, there are many other factors to consider.

plus he doesn't set his lineups according to WARP and i think we all know what a mistake that is.

That is what I meant to say... and I did miss his late-game double today as I have a life. But thanks for your standard abrasive douchebaggish response.

So this warp rating means more than a world series title?
