Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
The WIN METHOD is used as the rules are written. Therefore the WIN METHOD will encompass the entire 162 game regular season. In the post season, each series stands on its own. That is why you will see WIN METHOD fans use the term 'WHEN it counts' so much.

Infante is such a solid player. Great D and solid contact hitter.
Yu Darvish just gave up 4 runs and threw 42 pitches in the 1st inning.

Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
Yea, Infante's stats from last year don't really jump out at you, but he really struggled in the first half of the season before tearing the cover off the ball after the break. His defense is fantastic as well.
I have to say, for being 2-3 I'm pretty happy with how the Marlins have started off. All five starters went at least 6 innings. Nolasco looked great, he dropped a lot of weight and threw the ball really well. Buehrle was Buehrle. Big Z had a horrible first inning but bounced back and was lights out the rest of the way. Anibal was very good today. JJ had a lot of nerves opening the new ballpark and didn't have his best stuff, but he toughed his way through 6 innings and more importantly his arm felt good. Reyes and Bonifacio at the top of the order is a terror with their speed and bunting ability. Infante has been great. All we need is to get Hanley going and keep LoMo and Giancarlo's knees healthy and we'll be great. |

EricStangel: 5 runs in 3 innings. Apparently "Yu Darvish" is Japanese for "AJ Burnett."

![]() I'm liking the looks of the Brewers this year. Bullpen has been a little shaky early on, but I think that will change. Gamel seems like he will have a very solid season and having Ramirez at third base is a huge upgrade over our situation last year. Offense seems to be clicking just fine without Prince.

This. He may strikeout at a high rate, but the offense he is capable of producing is huge for our lineup.
