Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
Insane how frequent perfect games have become given how rare they were prior to three or so years ago.

Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
Perfect games, no hitters. Not a coincidence since they started cracking down.

Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
MLB went from 1880 to 2010 without 2 perfect games in 1 season. Took just 2 years this time.

Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
R.A. Dickey pitched well enough to have made it two perfect games in one night. The two Rays that got on base did it on a David Wright error and another botched ball by Wright that the umps called a hit.

Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
The scorers ruled it a hit, not the umpires.

Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
I agree, though, Dickey got ****ed by the defense and the scorers

Re: 2012 Baseball Season Discussion Thread
Phil Hughes earns another win with six innings of one run ball as the YANKEES beat the Nats 7-2. Jeter with the big hit WHEN it counted with the bases loaded in the seventh to break the game open. David Robertson returned to the lineup and got his feet wet in the ninth inning, allowing a meaningless run.
