How many games are the Oakland A's ahead of the Angels for 2ND place now?

With 10 wins from Count Cheatacular. We'll see if the A's are still around on October 3rd after 7 more against the Angels and Rangers and three games against the O's, Yankees and Tigers left.

If the Angels get hot and stop losing games in the bullpen, they still make the playoffs

If the A's stay hot until the end of the regular season, good for them. But the Angels are in third because of their own inconsistency. If they were playing up to their potential and not shooting themselves in the foot with mistakes all season long, they'd have a far better record than Oakland.

Yep, totally agree. It's sad we're even having this conversation. I'd say for only a short period during June were the Angels clicking on all cylinders. Before and since then, either the pitching was good and the hitting terrible or vice versa.

Phil Hughes with a good game but not good enough as the YANKEES are swept under the rug by the Chicago White Sox. Thankfully a day off today to regroup and rebound.

Andy McCutcheon has been hitting the hell out of the ball while AJ Burnett and Jimmy McDonald are a combined 26-10.

I really hope they lock him up long term this winter. It would be good to see the Pirates return to winning.
