Late surge sends Dynamo past Union, into playoffs  HOUSTON – The Houston Dynamo are in the MLS Cup playoffs. Even at a goal apiece 70 minutes in, the Dynamo used some late game magic from Boniek García and a Brad Davis penalty kick to clinch a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union. The late strikes came just minutes before D.C. United’s Lewis Neal scored a stoppage time winner to down the Columbus Crew 3-2 and book playoff passage for Houston for the sixth time in seven years. Dynamo veteran Ching will return for 12th MLS season
 After a month of soul searching, Brian Ching has decided that he will be back in Houston Dynamo orange in 2013. Ching told MLSsoccer.com on Tuesday that he's spent the time since Houston's loss in the MLS Cup earlier this month deciding if he still wanted to play the game after 11 seasons in the league. “I needed to step away for a bit and make sure that I still love it and have a passion for it,” Ching told MLSsoccer.com by phone. “Looking back and seeing how the season went and how I held up, I still feel like I can contribute.” http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/articl...2th-mls-season |
