Re: Montreal Impact FC (Impact de Montréal FC)
![]() Reports from Italy that Andrea Pisanu is on his way to Canada: Trial was Successful? Reports from Italy are that one of the prospects the Impact tried out in Italy, 30 year old Andrea Pisanu, will join the team. According to a Sky Sports Italy reporter: "Pisanu ready to fly to Canada" Described as "highly skilled but injury prone" he's the type of guy that could be an amazing pickup(a la Filipe) or a talented waste(ie: Rivas) basically on a flip of a coin. Given the over reliance we have on Filipe(the transition without him is basically nonexistent) another talented offensive midfielder will be useful, especially if it reduces the playing time of Mapp, who has a questionable fitness level, and Arnault who works hard but lacks the talent to get the ball to Di Vaio when it counts. http://www.mountroyalsoccer.com/2012...o-canada-trial |

Head coach Schällibaum has no intention on changing the captain
![]() Davy Arnaud will keep the armband in 2013 Despite being a little ambiguous in response to the question by reporters Monday morning, Impact head coach Marco Schällibaum confirmed to Impact Media that Davy Arnaud will remain as the team’s captain, barring an unforeseen turn of events. “It’s difficult for me to answer such a question after just one training session, as I don’t know the players all that well yet,” said Schällibaum. “Obviously, I need time to get to know the personalities on the team, so I have to be wary of confirming certain roles for certain players. However, I would like to say that I am very happy with the captain we have in place. Davy was a great choice and remains one today.” http://www.impactmontreal.com/en/new...ains-one-today |

Re: Montreal Impact FC (Impact de Montréal FC)
Academy update:
U21s unbeaten this winter ![]() New opportunities for younger players The Montreal Impact Academy is well-represented this year at the preseason camp for the club’s pro team in Major League Soccer, but that means the U21 side has been forced to make changes. Not only has former U21 head coach Philippe Eullaffroy and Academy goalkeeper coach Youssef Dahha joined the first team’s coaching staff, but some of the U21s’ core group of players from last year are knocking on the door, including defender Karl W. Ouimette, who earned a contract midseason in 2012, along with midfielder Wandrille Lefevre, left-back Maxim Tissot and forward Mircea Ilcu. All three are showing well in Florida, while goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau, midfielder Zakaria Messoudi and forward Anthony Jackson-Hamel are with the Canadian U20 national team looking to qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup. http://www.impactmontreal.com/en/new...nbeaten-winter |
