DEFENDER KEVIN HATCHI IS RELEASED
![]() MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced Wednesday that French central defender Kevin Hatchi has been released. “We looked thoroughly at the situation before taking this decision,” said Impact sporting director Nick De Santis. “Kevin Hatchi had certain qualities, but he didn’t fit in the group. We took this decision for the well-being of the team. All our players need to walk in the same direction, especially when the team is going through difficult times.” Hatchi had joined the Impact on February 10, after taking part to the invitational tryout camp. The rookie player started eight games this season and scored one goal. http://www.montrealimpact.com/News/N...D=1650&Focus=0 |

MARC DOS SANTOS RESIGNS
![]() MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced Tuesday that Marc Dos Santos has resigned as head coach. Montreal Impact President Joey Saputo gave the coaching duties to sporting director Nick De Santis on an interim basis, starting today. “I’ve accepted Marc’s resignation, because the team is having a difficult and unacceptable sequence," said club president Joey Saputo. “This is too important of a year to let it go like this. re: Montreal Impact FC (Impact de Montréal FC)
![]() http://montrealimpact.com/News/News....ArticleID=1686 "The time table for construction will be slightly modified. The new Saputo Stadium will be ready for the beginning of the 2012 summer, rather than in the spring. The Impact will then play a limited number of games at Olympic Stadium, including the home opener. "We had the option to start the season on the road or to look for an alternative,” added Joey Saputo. “We prefer to play a few matches at Olympic Stadium. We want all games to be an event, especially our first game in MLS in Montreal.” The club also confirmed that season ticket holders will receive preferential treatment at Olympic Stadium. All season ticket holders will get equivalent seats to their usual seats. " Last edited by BigE; 07-21-2011 at 08:41 AM. |
