And like most humans often do, he has made a mistake.
Simply Put; Starting the season with Sidney Low as the coach of this team nothing more than a managerial blunder, that will cost the Grizzlies yet another season.
The writing was on the wall last year. This team simply never responded enough to Sid's leadership, and his poor rotations and substitutions were obvious to anyone who has even the slightest knowledge of the game.
I should have been obvious to West.
You added some nice pieces Jerry, but you left a man in charge who quite clearly couldn't do the job, and now it's all for not.
I believe that this team lost respect for Low a long time ago, and IMO they don't trust him and simply have no interest is following his system and working hard for him.
This team has no identity, no culture, no desire, no system and now they have no coach.
I put this squarely at the feet of Jerry West, and I anxiously await "the Living Legend" to make it right.
Don't disappoint us Mr. West.
