Jan. 3, 2005: Grizzlies vs Warriors Official Game Thread
Starting tonight, five of our next seven games are at home. Time to bump up that W-L before the big road push.
Ten Dollar Tuesdays also start tonight, for anyone looking for some cheap tickets.

Bobby Jackson will get the start at point tonight, per Sports56.

Need a big effort from Dahntay defensively.
Pau will be his usual 20/10/5 self (getting close).
Ren should be big on the boards with little post offense from the Warriors.

Two straight games that were convincing, dominating wins (up until the fourth quarter).
We didn't exactly close the Sonics or Warriors out well, but we're winning and shooting well.
Do we even need a big move right now?

Eddie Jones passed Dan Majerle on the all-time 3 pointers made list.
6. Nick Van Exel - 1,492
7. Eddie Jones - 1,363
8. Dan Majerle - 1,360

I don't think anything has changed. We still need to make a move, probably less for a PG and more for a rebounder/shotblocker or perimeter scorer. We play well against teams without athletic frontlines and are very hard to beat when our jumpers are falling.
Chris Taft and Monte Ellis sure looked good though.

The only big question mark I have is Jackson's durability. If we used that trade exception on Chucky Atkins for another veteran presence in the playoffs, I'd be very content, as far as point guards go.
We still need to deal Wright for a rebounder though, without question.
