Re: Grizzlies And Jazz Discussing Boozer Deal?
Mike Miller + Brian Cardinal is the logical deal for us to offer. I'd pull the trigger...
Damon Stoudamire/Kyle Lowry (No. 24)/Anthony Roberson
Eddie Jones/Dahntay Jones
Shane Battier/Hakim Warrick
Carlos Boozer/Lawrence Roberts
Pau Gasol/Jake Tsakalidis
Then trade EJ at the deadline for some perimeter 20 ppg guy.

The problem with Mike Miller is that he is a pure shooter and shooters are hard to find. Boozer isnt worth giving up Miller. Considering Boozer is always injured.

Carlos Boozer: Future with Jazz is Cloudy
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com
Thursday, June 22, 2006
Update: Jazz senior vice president of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor does not rule out the possibility of a major offseason trade, the Deseret News reports. Boozer's name is the one that most often comes up in trade rumors. "Let me reiterate this, and I think it's important: We feel like we made a very good improvement from a year ago. And obviously we needed to," said O'Connor. "But we're not finished... If we could get a great player, would we trade somebody? The answer is, 'Yes.' So, we would look to improve our team. That's just part of the nature of what happens. It's written about a lot more than it happens, but it does happen - and I'm not saying it won't." A report last week in the Akron (Ohio) Beacon Journal said the Jazz and Grizzlies are talking about a deal involving Boozer.

On the other hand, 9 postseason ppg isn't that hard to replace.

You guys are gonna need a lot more that Boozer to when a playoff game.
You need to solidfy either of the guard spots. I know EJ is gone at the deadline, but you better get something worthwhile.
And seeing your depth chart Rawse, how is Damon recovering?

That is an insult.
I am sure you would pull the trigger on that, but that is not logical for the jazz.
The jazz will not get rid of boozer because of his contract. The owner has never been afraid of spending money. We don't want to be the clippers of yesterday. Boozer is 22/10 when healthy, sorry. The only way you get boozer is if you trade gasol, which will not happen, so you guys won't get boozer because you got nothing to offer for him that the jazz would jump on.
Notice which newspaper wrote this rumor? O that's right! An Ohio newspaper. But wait, isn't cleveland in Ohio, o right it is. Why can't they just let the it go, boozer left them. It's like they never forgot about him and making insane stupid trades like this because they think boozer's value is low.

Damon Stoudamire's recovery from season-ending knee surgery continues at a head-spinning pace. Stoudamire, who has been allowed to mostly conduct rehabilitation in Houston, returned to Memphis earlier this week for one purpose: To show Grizzlies brass his wares.
While Stoudamire has some improvement to make in the area of flexibility, he performed astonishingly well in what was described as a "difficult, intense" exhibition of his on-court abilities.
A team insider said flat-out that this wasn't fluff and everyone in the gym left stunned by Stoudamire's progress.

I don't know if everything's as roses as Ron Tillery makes it sound, but it's apparent that he's ahead of schedule.

OK! Let me get on the horn with Stern, and we'll get it done.
Gasol would be amazing coming off the bench to backup Carlos and Mehmet, right?
No seriously, propose that trade on Utah's board - I promise I won't come in and act like an ******* because of it.

"Devin Brown + Matt Harpring is the logical deal for us to offer. I'd pull the trigger..."
.....
You call me a homer, but you upgrade your player's value and degrade a player like boozer who will average 22/10/ next season. You my freind are a hypocrite. Call someone a homer, when you are one yourself.
