Grizz fans are going to love him. Nova didn't make the tourney till he signed with them.

Kyle Lowry, Memphis Grizzlies' 24th draft pick, chatted with Grizzlies fans. Read the transcript below.

Moderator>>
Kyle is in the house everyone. Send those questions in.

B.Bohmert>>
What were your push and pull- factors for going to the NBA?

Kyle Lowry>>
It was a great opportunity to take my game to the next level, which is the NBA.

L>>
What current or past point guard do you feel your game compares to?

Kyle Lowry>>
I really can't compare, I take a lot from everybody in the NBA, I try to take something from everybody.

t.b>>
Do you have any rituals that you do before of after a game?

Kyle Lowry>>
None at all, I just go out there and play.

P.Fleming>>
Kyle- What does it mean to you to get to play with a veteran the caliber of Damon Stoudamire and what are looking to pick up from him?

Kyle Lowry>>
It means a lot. It's definitely a good situation and will be a good learning tool. I'm just looking to pick up a lot of tips on being a point guard in the NBA.

M.Albright>>
When you heard that you had been drafted by the Grizzlies, what was the first thing that came to your mind and what were your feelings?

Kyle Lowry>>
I'm in the NBA and I'm very very happy to be with the Grizzlies.

O.G>>
Hey Kyle. First off Welcome to Memphis! It's great to have you a part of the team. My question is, during the whole pre-draft camp and team workouts, what was one area of your game that all teams seemed to love and one area a lot of teams wanted to see you improve in and what do you feel is the best way to improve in those areas of concern?

Kyle Lowry>>
Being tough and defensive minded. I was told I needed to improve every part of my game to make it in the NBA, jump shooting, passing all that.

A.Shiffman>>
Kyle, how do you think playing under Jay Wright will impact your transition to the NBA and playing under Mike Fratello?

Kyle Lowry>>
They have the same principles- be defensive minded, and when you get the ball, get out there and run. Playing for coach Wright definitely prepared me for Coach Fratello.

E.Jackson>>
As you know, you'll have many demands and responsibilities placed upon you as an NBA player. One of those responsibilities is using your notoriety to help out Memphis community groups. What is your level of commitment to working with the Grizzlies and with these community partners? Do you have any non-profit groups either locally or nationally that are close to your heart?

Kyle Lowry>>
Not right now, but I'll look into that as soon as I can. Working with the community is big for me so I'll get involved a little later on when I get settled in Memphis.

J.Brooks>>
Hey Kyle, how do you feel playing around guys like Eddie Jones,Pau Gasol, and Mike Miller?

Kyle Lowry>>
I can't wait. They're great players and have been doing this for years. I can only learn and get better playing next to those guys.
