Just looking back at your draft, you took Lowry, Gay, and Johnson who are all athletes. Did West want to play a more uptempo style and get up and down the court more often? The Grizz were percieved as a grind-it-out team last season so did West want to change that? A handful of teams are trying to play more like the PHX Suns, on the offensive. Is West trying to follow the same pattern?

I think the shrinking attendance numbers played a large role.

Memphis fans don't want to see 85-80 final scores. Memphis might have been pretty good defensively in the regular season against teams who weren't vastly talented like, say, the Mavericks. But we were one of the most boring teams in the league, and Gasol, Dahntay Jones and Warrick were literally the only guys on the team with any athleticism at all.

Combining a control freak coach who calls out every last play with an offensively-limited roster where 80 percent of the guys can barely dunk makes for some boring, boring basketball.

And fans knew that last year. I think West has finally woken up to the fact that you can having a winning team and be fun to watch, too.
