How Exciting Is It.... (Official Preseason Thread)
to watch Rudy grow this season. Sorry if I started an uncessary thread, but I didnt see any threads talking about your preseason game today against Houston. I watched some of that game, and Rudy was impressive regardless of the bad percentage. This kid will be something special if he doesnt look focus.

It's preseason, and I had no way of seeing the game on TV - I thought the Rox's game thread was sufficient enough for me.
Rudy missed seven of his first eight, and the Grizz were getting killed. I get back home, and I see Memphis somehow won. Just looking at the numbers, I'm happy that Rudy's not scared to shoot the ball and doesn't seem to have problems getting his shot off. The release on his jumper makes him hard enough to guard anyway, but I haven't yet gotten to see him move around the court in a competitive pro game. (In the open practice scrimmage, he looked pretty fluid to me.)
Looking at the minutes, it looks like Van Gundy was gauging his second unit in the second half and wasn't overly concerned about putting Memphis away. Following the first half on NBA.com, it doesn't seem that our slow-white-guy-frontcourt is going to be the key to success.
he'll be more aggressive at the begining of the season. But I love his jumpers, especially fadeaways

It seems Rudy Gay came on strong at the end of the game. Anyone knows how he got his points. Was he shooting or driving, were there put backs?
Hope he will be aggressive and not just settle for his jumper. If he has the calm to find Gasol in traffic they could become terrific together.
It was mostly jumpers. Pull up jumpers off the dribble. He missed a lot of turnaround jumpers and got his intiation from Mutumbo. He was aggressive offensively and played good defense on everyone not named T Mac.
Re: How Exciting Is It.... (Official Preseason Thread)
Rudy Gay is more fun to watch than advertised. He is Tayshaun Prince-long, but he's probably more athletic and faster. He's just going to be a nightmare in the passing lanes. He's not afraid to keep shooting, that's for sure. He had a pretty lousy first half overall, but he came out and scored 11 in the fourth quarter (Do we have a fourth quarter scorer? ) and helped lead the team to the win.
Kyle Lowry is greased lightning out there. Lawrence Roberts had 10 rebounds in 15 minutes (but fouled out), and even Junior Harrington was looking like a jack-of-all-trades.
I liked what I saw live from all the rookies. As a team, we got harrassed by the halfcourt trap in the second quarter, but hopefully they learn how to beat that with more experience and coaching.
Cardinal banged his knee and didn't return. He was shooting well before the incident, which didn't look all that serious.
So now Pau, Mike, Stro, Jake, Cardinal and Kinsey are injured to varying degrees.

The Grizz are looking like a Mash-unit in less than two weeks. What the fuzz?
