N/A for this season. We'd have pretty much the same record with either Gay or Battier. Gay has game-changing abilities and will be a more valuable player in the very near future.

Well, Gay's young. Stro's in his prime, if you can call it that. Statistically, Gay might surpass Battier's best season in his rookie year. In a matter of a couple seasons, he'll be nearing All-Star status.
Gay has that kind of potential, and although Battier was a good citizen and an easy guy to root for, Rudy is the kind of person you can market as the face of your franchise, too.
