Another offensive foul!
When all else fails...flop.

Not proudly, I might add.
I'm beginning to think that wrestling's not the one that's scripted. James Posey, our starting SG, just fouled out with 10:20 left in the game. He played just 10 minutes.
What a joke...

Dahntay Jones anyone.........??? anyone, anyone?? At least the youngster is going to get some pt. He should have already received some more time, but I can deal with 5 minutes for him in only his second game. Hubie might have to start thinking about benching his starting 2 guard James Posey soon.

Wah, wah, wah.....
What else could you people say when your guys get spanked by 32 points!
Let's give you say, 15 points for all the poor calls you think you got., and we'll change the score to 121-104.
Face it ....Memphis played waaaay over their head in the first meeting with LA. What do you want, we took O'Neal off the floor to make it more even?

Sort of reminds you of some of the Lakers fans after the Detroit game, except that there actually was an abundance of bad calls last night. One of the best perimeter defenders in the league, James Posey, fouling out in less than ten minutes is a complete and utter joke. And "missing" not one but two clear-path-to-the-basket violations is a crock as well. And if you want to be technical about it, we were complaining about the calls when the Grizzlies were still up by 5 points.
The Grizzlies wouldn't have won last night even if the officiating was respectable because they frankly played awful. We got beat, plain and simple, but the officiating was horrid.

Oh, we got beat. We couldn't shoot in the second half, and we didn't play any defense all night. Pau was making stupid decisions (again), and Jason Williams wasn't able to do anything. I have no issue with that, but to be quite honest, we were all expecting the officiating we got last night. It wasn't the worst ever. It was simply bad. Six fouls on James Posey in eleven minutes. From my count, seven offensive fouls in the second half, and that's before Posey was gone. Want to talk about taking one of our best defenders out of the game? Want to talk about killing our flow? You did it. Or, rather, they did.
The 32 point loss was simply us quitting with about eight minutes left, and LA running up the score. If we didn't completely surrender, it would have been around a 15-20 point loss.
Not mentioning Shaq's name would be better for your sake. You guys play better without him when you play Memphis. LA killed our guys in transition, something no one has done this year. Not having Shaq allowed you guys to get out and run like you couldn't on the 10th, and since your shots were falling, that's another reason for the blowout.
Summing up. We got beat last night, something I didn't see admitted on the Lakers board when we beat you. Seven offensive fouls in a span of about 20 minutes certainly didn't help matters, and most of them were pretty shatty calls. If that makes me a dreaded hater, then by all means. But don't blow this way out of proportion like some of your Lakers compadres would.

You're right, LA did get beat last time around, plain and simple....Memphis played a great game, maybe their best. I think they surprised themselves as they seemingly could do no wrong and LA wasn't ready for that. I think the guys came in to last nights game with a healthier respect for Jerrys kids and without Shaq, decided to run, run, run with you.
LA CAN play a transition game, though usually are too busy argueing over whose team it is. There was none of that last night. Slava played great for his first game of the season.
Memphis is a fun team to watch though, and is much better so far this season.

Oh, and Rawse....I'm not sure where in your post you gave LA any more credit than you claim we gave your team the last time.
One thing about being LA and also having quote, four hall-of-famers is that EVERY team gets up for these guys every day. Do the fellas get ANY credit for excepting that and still posting a great record?
It would seem not.
