While reading through some of the WBC's box scores I started to notice that Gasol has been shooting the 3 with a lot more regularity than he did last season.

In all of his games in this tournament Pau has made between 1 and 4 attempts and I believe he is shooting around 30% from beyond the arc.

I know that when Pau was drafted he was heralded as a 3-point threat, but we rarely saw it last season,,,

I wonder if he worked on his range this summer or if it was always there and he just chose not to use it last year.

Wow, first we find out that Pau has bulked up and can now play center, and now he's demonstrating 3-point range,,,

Anyone who's not excited about this player and what he may one day become, is simply not paying close enough attention.

I didn't see much great 3 point stats from him last season, but if he can add that to his game, he will be a sure fire star at center in the small east.

He just shot 5 3-pointers last season and some of them were shot from mid court just before the buzzer. I think he was not allowed to attempt it.

Here in Barcelona, he shot much more of them while playing at the 3 spot. He wasn't as good as Nowitzki but made enough to become a threat to be considered by his defenders.

BTW after watching his WC matches, we the spaniards have noticed that he has lost a bit of fluency on his mid-range shot. Maybe he's still adapting it to his new body frame, but no doubt that he has the range and he just have to recover the confidence.

You have to remember that the 3 point line is closer in the Worlds though. Its the same as the NCAA line.

haha.......I'm glad someone finally noticed it. Jesus has been one of the top talents in the U.S. for some time now. I hope everyone realizes how good this player can be.
