West better think of something big soon, the stockpiling must end
West is known to be able to put together great teams, but the mess he's created, and he's obviously continuing to create is ridiculous. It seems like he's planning a great big trade that will completely revamp the offense. So far he's pulled a few trades, signed a few players, and has been drafting as if to replace the old players. Yet, nothing big has been done yet.
Lets say we're right in assuming that West is planning something big. But with whom? It seems like there are no teams that need the players on the Grizz, and if there is a team that needs them, they have no tradeable players on their team. Another reason why a big trade with the Grizz would be difficult is because the general lack of talent. The Grizzlies are full of good, not great, not bad (well not a bunch of them) players that have been stripped of any sort of role.
I'm guessing the only way to sort out the mess made by West is to have not just a regular trade, rather to have at least a 3 team trade. Actually at least 4 team for this mess.

The Grizz's roster is not that jammed at all SKLB54!! If you take a look at the depth chart, the positions aren't loaded up to the point that some good veteran won't play. Here i'll post the Depth Chart for ya.
Point Guard
J-Will
Earl Watson
Troy Bell- Remember he is a rookie, and logically shouldn't play all that much this year
Shooting Guard
James Posey
Bonzi Wells
Dahntay Jones- Same goes for Dahntay
Small Forward
Mike Miller
Shane Battier
Ryan Humphrey } These two shouldn't be playing anyways, they
Theron Smith } aren't good enough to be on the court yet.
Personally I think West is going to get rid of Humphrey soon, because they really don't need him
Power Forward
Pau Gasol
Bo Outlaw
Center
Jake Tsakalidis
Lorenzen Wright
Stromile Swift
Stromile is really the only person who is getting jipped on the playing time here. He hasn't done too badly as of yet to be benched for entire games.
Just trust Jerry and Hubie, they will make the best out of this situation. This lineup only helps there chances of getting into the playoffs with this unbelievable Midwest Division.

I think there will be a move made for an upgrade at center. I just don't see Posey or Wells coming off the bench all season.

The message West is giving with this trade is clear; he's not building this team through the draft, he's building it through free agents and trades so he can have plenty of experienced players on his team, rather than just a bunch of young rookies. Smart idea.

What mess? I'm seeing one spectacular trades after another. He traded an injury-prone, overpaid scrub in Brevin Knight for a starting center(big Jake) and hussle man bo outlaw.
now he traded wes person(a pure shooter who's worthless because he's in a slump, and wasn't about to get minutes anyway) for a border all-star in bonzi wells!!!
mess? i call them steals.

You say that there is no mess and the only player getting jipped is Stromile, but what I see is 2 good PG's (3 next year: Bell), 2 starting SG's (maybe 3 next year), 2 Starting SF's, 2 Starting PF's (Stro is a 4), and 0 legit starting C's.
You say that logically rookies shouldnt play much this year, but when next year, those 3 PG's will still be on the same team again, then do you consider it a problem?

Well, we don't have to worry about bell and dauntay starting until next season, so if any trades were to made to make room for them, it'd be in the off season. makes trades to make room for them now is unnecessary.
as for the legit starting C, we'll get one eventually(most likely not anytime soon since the team is doing quite well, thank you). I truly believe. we'll see.

I think the real wory comes when the expansion draft occurs. Who do you guys protect and who do you leave open.
You've got some real nice depth and talent that Charlotte should grab, even if it's to trade elsewhere.

i'm nominating this as "dumbest post of the year". i don't see a mess; i see the deepest team in the league. Jerry has done exactly what he said he was going to do: get more depth, and get more talent. Jerry also has said that you don't build with the draft, you build with free agents and trades. again, that's exactly what he's doing. how can any Grizzlies fan complain about the current squad when Jerry has completely turned this team around? jesus, some people love to b.itch just for the sake of b.itching. unfortunately, people often complain about things they don't understand, and your post is a good example.
