Peja was pretty limited in the second half. He was only two for his last ten shots in the game, including that wide-open three with under a minute to go that almost stopped my heart.

This is an excellent, excellent, excellent win for our guys. Just when I think I have them figured out, they go and surprise me with a win like this. I now believe that, with wins over the Big Four in the West (all at home...but still...) that we will now make the playoffs, not just as an eight seed, but possibly as high as a six. With Utah and Denver slowing down, and the sun setting on Phoenix this year, and Portland almost mailing it in at this point early on, the Grizzlies are looking might good right now.

We showed a lot of poise in the fourth quarter in this game, proving that we can hold a lead steady when the going gets tough. Shane Battier was amazing, adding several key blocks, a big tip-in, and a clutch jumper along with some free throws in the closing minutes. Pau posterized Brad Miller in the last minute, which really sealed it. I was nervous, but not too nervous.

Good win.

I'm also in shock that we didn't show many signs of fatigue with this being our fourth game in five days, going road-home-road-home.

I think that is due to the 10-man rotation that Hubie uses that so many people hated at the beginning of the season. I think that is also why the team is so tough in final minutes of games. I'd love nothing more than to see Hubie walk away with the Coach of the Year award before he's finished. He's done one hell of a job here.

Way to come back from the loss against the spurs. Beating an elite team in the west certainly sends a message that all their previous wins weren't flukes, and that they have many more wins to come. I'm sure all the top seeded teams are praying that they don't have to play the grizzlies in the playoffs now.

It's been ten years, and I say if Michael Jordan chose to still play the game of basketball, he'd dominate.
