Excellent game by Bonzi Wells, providing the team with an all-around performance tonight. Tonight, he showed the first signs of the refs getting to him in his stint as a Grizzly. He played through the bad calls and the technical and was our player of the game.
Salvatore really stuck it to us on about four straight calls in the first half.
Carlos Arroyo. He's pretty good...
Sasha Pavlovic. He's going to
be pretty good... He had little to no trouble finding his way to the basket against our best defenders.
Greg Ostertag is
enormous when you see him live. That man is a freaking tank. And he played like it on the basketball court -- he blocked six of our shots. It was rough taking it into the paint against him.
Hubie said in a recent interview (I'll try to find a link) that he's going to keep a short leash on his first string, and he meant it. Williams, Miller, and Gasol played just 19, 14, and 23 minutes respectively. The funny thing is that I didn't think Williams or Miller played all that bad, and Pau wasn't terrible (although Kirilenko bothered him all night).
I caught a T-shirt before the game.
