It's been reported on several Utah radio stations that former Grizzly and Jerry West "recruit" Gordon Giricek has been traded from Orlando (where he was dealt for Mike Miller last season) to the Jazz for DeShawn Stevenson.

Unless he can't beat out Raja Bell, it appears that Giricek has regained a starting job at SG. I'm actually pretty surprised because of Stevenson's involvement. He was given chance after chance to become a star on the Jazz and he blew every last one of them.

There's still plenty of time for Stevenson, he's only 22. Coming straight out of High School wasn't a great decision, but I still think he can become a very good player in the league. He was actually outperforming Giricek, and is definitely more athletic, a better defender, but a much worse shooter. For Orlando's perspective, I like this trade, and I think it's a low risk, high reward kinda deal. Giricek was gone after this year anyway, and if they can resign Stevenson, they'll definitely be big winners in this deal.
