Hey Memphis fans, I have a question.

I feel that Jerry West was accumulating all of this talent so he would have the opportunity to trade for big time talent.

Well it seems like Chris Webber is on the outs in Sacramento and they are looking to trade him (even though that is just foolish), but what if Jerry West did this deal with them:

Lorenzon Wright, Mike Miller, Earl Watson and Michael Dickerson (he's retiring right?) for Chris Webber, Jabari Smith and a 2nd round pick.

Now even after that with T-Mac being available what if they trade Gasol, Battier and Wells for T-Mac and the Orlando 2nd round pick.

Now that gives Memphis a lineup like this:

C - Jake Tsaklidas (re-signed for cheap)
PF - Chris Webber
SF - James Posey
SG - Tracy McGrady
PG - Jason Williams

Bench
C - Jabari Smith
PF - Bo Outlaw
SF/PF - Ryan Humphrey
SF - Theron Smith
SG - Dahntay Jones
PG - Troy Bell

I think that would give Memphis a chance to win a title next year. What do you guys think? Am I just an idiot or do you think the Logo has any shot at pulling off a few of these deals.

I also think Webber will be traded for less than desired players because the Kings want guys who won't cost that much and Miller gives them a guy to take over for an aging Doug Christie.

Even if that trade did go down, I don't think the Grizzlies would have a chance of winning a title. There bench is horrible. Seriously horrible, with the exception of maybe Troy Bell and Dahntay Jones. Do you think Hubie would still use his 10 man rotation too?? I'm not sure he could manage. I'm actually not sure if Hubie will even come back next season.

I mean, it is a great first lineup with Webber, TMAC, and Posey, but I'm just not positive that they would have a good chance of winning the championship with the bench you have there. It's a good suggestion though. Anytime you can get TMAC and Webber in the same off-season, then you have accomplished alot as a GM.

There is no way they would play a 10 man rotation. However there should be plenty of guys out there to sign for the Veteran's minimum. When you have T-Mac and Webber, if you are playing 10 guys you are a fool. Webber and T-Mac would should be playing 35+ minutes a night.

Hubie has used that kind of rotation his whole coaching career though. Remember, Hubie Brown used to coach Bernard King, who was the type of player T-Mac is today. King only got 32 minutes a game while playing under Hubie.

No way this team trades for Webber. Webber is useless right now. I'd rather have Gasol. Much cheaper, younger, and just as good.

T-Mac would be a nice addition.

I see us giving up some of our depth for quality players, even stars, but not all of it. And we're going to be looking for young rising stars, not stars on the decline like webber.
