Re: USA OLYMPIC BASKETBALL TEAM

Didn't question your basketball knowledge, questioned your knowledge of FIBA when you got all excited about what position you want to label Durant and James and started acting like a bunch of big men will exploit the US offensively.

So you don't want to talk about Bosh on defense compared to Chandler, or how you created a team of mid range shooters and called out anyone who disagreed?

Alright then.

Re: USA OLYMPIC BASKETBALL TEAM

Also, you acting like there's no positions outside of guards and forwards in FIBA is pretty funny.

The reason there's a 1,2,3,4,5 is for positional reasons. For you to have talked so long and hard about your basketball history, you know that. The coach doesn't say "Look guys, Lebron, Love and Durant are the forwards. Just go out there and do your thing." is ridiculous. Its not JV ball where you get to guard whoever you feel like and just run 1 or 2 set plays.

While having traditional PF and Center isn't really as key in FIBA, you still have a 4 and a 5.

They will play a lot of zone on D and motion on offense. That style of play is common in JV, varsity, college, FIBA... basically everywhere but the NBA and NBDL.

Alright then.
No because Bosh withdrew his name. Its a waste of time outside of giving you a debate to entertain yourself.

I'm sure you'll find another stupid thing I said you can mock though.

So they don't have a 1 through 5?

Again, if you're going to talk about your glorious basketball past, saying shit like you're trying to pull right now is not going to fly Jamel.

So because Bosh withdrew his name, that also withdraws your comments in this thread?

Again, repeating myself, 2 guards, 2 forwards and a center. Some college teams do 3 guards and 2 pivots, some do 4 guards and one center. Imagine if I proposed them run a four guard offense, you would of been all over me since I would of called Kobe a power forward!

Yes. They are irrelevant now because he wasn't even elligible. I know you got into your beligerant engaged fight mode, but really it doesn't even matter because now I know why they actually left him off the team. I have no doubts that if he was healthy he makes it over Blake Griffin.

So again, if that's the case label who was your defensive anchor, and who was going to play a back to the basket game on "your team".

And Kobe as a power forward. That's cute. I wrote 1 through 5, you write power forward. Too cute. I even went out of my way to explain the idea of 1 to 5 to designate position and how its different from the constricting pg,sg,sf,pf,c, and you come back with Kobe at power forward.

Wow. That's pretty sad.

I guess since you're trying to twist things so much I'll just ask a direct question. Does the NBA olympic team have 1 to 5 for their players, or are they just going to say "you 2, you're the guards, and you 3 left over, you're the forwards. Do your thing guys!"

Its priceless that you are trying a "you just want to argue" yet you still attempt pot shots while refusing to answer about any of the questions asked in my post.

Its becoming pretty damn apparent that your "basketball career" is as fabricated as it gets.

What basketball career? I played in college, (high school and AAU obviously) and then got two pay checks as a professional for a total of maybe $4,200.

Oh and I was a 6'4" 177 pound 4 in high school with zero ability to post up! Luckily we ran a motion offense that had me cutting to the basket frequently and we ran a full court trap on defense.

That's more than anyone else here can say that I know of though. So to play dumb in these posts to save face is a little ridiculous.

"Some college teams run 4 guards and 1 center!" Yea. But they're still marked 1 through 5. I know that, and I know you know that, so lets not pretend the coach is saying "Alright, you're my 5. The rest of you guys feed him in the paint and do guard stuff. Defend whoever you want and play paper rock scissors for who gets to bring the ball up."

Nope.

Re: USA OLYMPIC BASKETBALL TEAM

I know Bosh and Wade didn't make the team due to injuries but what about Howard?

He had a bigger injury than both Bosh and Wade!
