Re: Men's Bball Day 3 Thurs Aug 2nd
Great game. Kind of turned into Larry Taylor vs. Shved. A lot of fun to watch.

If we didn't score a single point in the 2nd half, we would've still won by 5.

Re: Men's Bball Day 3 Thurs Aug 2nd
Missed this game. Looked at the boxscore We scored more points on treys than Nigeria scored. I wouldn't think we need to shoot 46 treys, but when you hit 29 of them it is hard to criticize it. Honestly I wish we had a tougher group. This sort of game doesn't help us get ready for the medal round.

Re: Men's Bball Day 3 Thurs Aug 2nd
Team USA keeps proving my point (and perhaps David Stern's) that we should field either college players like we did in the old days or under 23s.
It's a farce, absolutely.

AD leading the Olympics in FG% with 90%. Anthony Davis is failing foreign relations worse than Mitt Romney. Dunking on the whole world!

Re: Men's Bball Day 3 Thurs Aug 2nd
Everyone else would prefer it if we went back to letting them play their best players against amateurs. France, Argentina and Spain would all be better than us if they put their current teams out there and we didn't. I guess Kyrie Irving would be our best under 23 player. Rose and Griffin are hurt, but they are both 23. After that you have Cousins and Monroe and a lot of pretty mediocre players. If everyone else wants to play by the same rules as we do that's one thing, but no way are we going to play college players against pros.

Amen. The Chinese would never do it. And I'm not saying their Department of Birth Records isn't entirely on the up and up, but their Department of Birth records isn't entirely on the up and up.

If TEAM USA played like that all the time, I don't think even the Aliens from Space Jam could have beaten them.
