Again, find me a quote were someone said to throw the ball out of bounds, or miss a shot, or maybe go grab a drink of water on the defensive end and let the score get a little closer. I'll save you some time. There aren't any. What myself and others have stated multiple times now and you guys refuse to touch it, is that there's no need in a runaway game to rush down the floor and pop off a shot as quickly as possible when the game was out of reach from the get go. Hyperion looked it up, and not one possession took over 16 seconds for America in the 2nd half. That is the point. So again, find one post where someone asks them to purposefully bumble a pass and then make a "whoops?" face to act it up. Or, better yet, post about the actual matter at hand we're bringing up, which is rushing plays as fast as possible to embarrass a clearly inferior team. Or option C, leave the thread and don't come back like you usually do.

OK so people have a problem with the three pointers. I guess the NBA, NCAA and high school should put it's 3pt line at FIBA range so that every four years we don't embarrass 12 people.

Carmelo Anthony, a guy who before this game was still prior to this game in the running for best USA Basketball international competitor of all time...14 minutes of play... that is my official retort for that statistic.

Do some research next time, but womens hockey has been discussed to be taken out of the olympics because the Canadian team has steam rolled and its not a real competition. The American womens team has been the only team to put up a fight in any of the games. Oh, and while you're doing that research, look up the fact that the majority of Canadian fans have been shunning the womans team for years for running up the score. Maybe you should have left the thread one post earlier, eh Diable?

Still waiting for someone to rebuttal the statement that on this board Carmelo Anthony does not have the same right to be written into the Olympic record books as Ryan Lochte.

And in all honesty, I'm proud of him. The previous record holder has been hogging all the glory for years. Stephon Marbury. Basketball is a team sport. And especially in the olympics, no one gives a **** at personal records.

Re: Men's Bball Day 3 Thurs Aug 2nd
No. But the person who did set it well above 16 seconds.
Although I think you're right. I think if there wasn't a shot clock, the Americans would have slowed the game way down instead of rushing every possession. You are doing a terrible job of representing your side of the debate.
