Re: Rumor: Smith for Allen
I dunno what to think about this to tell you the truth. Steve Smith can give us some veteran experience and outside shooting. He's better than Wes Person, that's for sure. I liked Malik though

Pending NBA approval, the Charlotte Bobcats made a late-afternoon trade Thursday, sending Steve Smith to the Miami Heat for forward Malik Allen, league sources told the Observer.
The deal sends Smith, one of the Bobcats' captains, to the Heat, where he started his pro career. The Heat approached the Bobcats earlier in the week, with Thursday's 3 p.m. trade deadline approaching.
Allen, a 6-foot-10 forward, has played the last three seasons with the Heat. This trade gives Smith, 35, the chance to play on a title contender; the Heat has the best record in the Eastern Conference.
