Heat Forum Fantasy BBall: Season 2
Another season of fantasy baseball for the Heat forum members. I would prefer to have people who frequent this forum, but if you want to join and will be active, you can join. Here's the league info:
League ID: #17068
password: miamiheat
Yahoo Fantasy Sports
We will do an autopick draft (alot easier for everyone) when the season is near, so sometime between now and the date that I set later on, you will need to make a list by which they will draft your team by.
Thanks, and hope to see you in the league!

One of only seven players in NBA history to average 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists while shooting 50% or more from the field in a playoff series (the others are Bob Cousy, Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Michael Jordan). Wade accomplished this in two consecutive series in the 2005 playoffs.
2. Joined Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, and Allen Iverson as the only players ever to record games of 40+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 15+ assists in the same playoff season in 2005.
3. Holds the record for being the only player in NBA history to ever average at least 30 points on 69.5 field goal percentage for four consecutive NBA playoff series games (5/23/06-5/29/06). The last record was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 63%. Wade accomplished it with less than 20 field goal attempts per game
4. Fifth player in NBA history with at least 30 points, 15 assists and 5 rebounds in a playoff game (5/10/05 vs. WAS). The others are Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Walt Frazier and Oscar Robertson.
5. One of four players in NBA history to have at least 30 points and 12 assists in three consecutive games (November 24-27, 2006). The others are Oscar Robertson, Nate Archibald, and Kevin Johnson. [5]

How about a Live Draft?
I would join if you guys change your mind and do a live draft. I don't feel it is easier to do an autopick draft in baseball, it is actually harder. I did a live draft last night 12 teams, and 21 rounds, and it only took about 2 hours.

we've done this for probably 3 years, and everytime we do a live draft more people don't show up than those who do....autopick you set your list and we draft that way, it's too hard to get everyone from this forum together at one time. We got people from Germany, East Coast, West Coast, all over the world...it's complicated!

This makes no sense.
I understand you might not be able to get everyone to agree on a time/date(however we probably could get the majority to agree), but why force everyone to autopick if they can make it on the date and time that the draft is scheduled for? If it is because you feel it gives the live draft people a big advantage, then that is why I am pushing for the live draft. Who wants to waste time and rank 200 plus players from 1-200, and then hope that the autopick doesn't pick 3 1B in a row for you, when you might need SP or RP. The autopick is all luck. With the live draft, you don't even have to change the Yahoo rankings if you don't want to, just click to each postion and scroll up or down to the player you want, or add players to your que so you don't forget them. It is so much easier, as all you need is a couple of Fantasy mags and you are set. If we are going to compete for 6 months doing Fantasy Baseball, we should at least be able to pick the players we want to compete with ourselves. No one else is in favor of a live draft?

Re: This makes no sense.
Draft is Sunday March 27th 6:00p ET
If you can't make it, you can set your list...
Theres only 5 people in the league right now, if more people don't join we'll probably just scrap the league

Re: Heat Forum Fantasy BBall: Season 2
Thanks for the change SD. I would drop the max teams to 12. People see 20 team league, and only 6 so far, they might not join. You could always expand it later if we get 12. If we are going to play with 8-12 teams, you might want to add a couple more bench spots. Also, could you add H for batting cats and K/BB for pitching? I will try to get a couple people to join, so we can at least get to 10.
