Re: Offseason Wild Trade Idea Thread
I'd do your proposed trade IF:
1) You replaced Steven Hunter with Marcus Camby
OR
2) If our pick feel out of the Top 2
Otherwise, I just don't think Melo'll make big enough of an impact to warrant giving away Marion (who's also a $17 mil expiring) as well as Derrick Rose or Michael Beasley.
Btw, why is the Draft Lottery thread locked?

I just noticed that, and I have no idea. Could have happened accidently. It's unlocked now.

I'm not too hot on Melo. Need to surround Wade with winners, not just scorers.

Re: Offseason Wild Trade Idea Thread
What about for Lamar? What would it take to get him? I'd be willing to throw in UD and idk what else they would want? I'd be willing to give up Marion, but then who would we fill in at the SF spot..(ofcoarse this is assuming we dont get Beasley)

Re: Offseason Wild Trade Idea Thread
Marion's a better player than Odom, so I wouldn't do that trade. Before the Lakers stole Gasol, a UD+JWill for Odom deal could have worked. But now, they've got no need for another PF (with Bynum coming back next season). So, we really don't have anyway of getting Odom, as unfortunate as that may be. The Lakers are winning, and they have no reason to break that up (unless it's for Marion), but like I said, Marion's just plain better than Lamar.

No, Thomas and his guys weren't the only ones in the wrong Saturday. The Nuggets have their own issues. But when it was over, at least they weren't crying, at least they weren't punking.
It's all gone in New York now – the pride, the respect, the dignity. This isn't just a bad team; this is a bad act. A once proud franchise and fan base brought to its knees as its pathetic coach makes excuses and whines for mercy.

Darrick Rose is a guarantee'd deal, for sure
Derrick Rose + Marion? ill keep that combo rather than Melo and Steven Hunter.

Re: Offseason Wild Trade Idea Thread
If we take Beasley, here's an idea:
Miami trades:
Udonis
Orlando trades:
2 Future 1sts
JJ Redick
Carlos Arroyo (S&T)
Quote:
|
If the Miami Heat decide to take power forward Michael Beasley of Kansas State in the draft, the Magic will be on the phone immediately trying to get Udonis Haslem, whom they pursued back in February. And it might not be too painful to get him now. A pair of future first-round picks, J.J. Redick and a sign-and-trade with Carlos Arroyo -- who wants to play there -- might do the trick. The Magic would have the toughness they need around the basket, allowing Tony Battie to become the backup at both front-court positions. Beasley, though, is the key.

Wow are they really willing to give up 2 future firsts bc I dont see orlando giving up 2 future firsts and players for UD..But then again i feel like late/mid fitst rounders aren't as big as the nfls..I think Riddick would be a nice fit though
