According to the herald Miami's considering trading Brand and #7 for the #2. I think this is the most likely trade since I'd LA doesnt do anything with Brand this year they'll lose him for nothing next year..I think this one may actually go Down

The supposed trade says marion instead of Blount + Haslem, but I don't like that trade..

I really want Beasley back, I think he'll bring media attention to almost like we had with shaq. He's a rookie, in Miami playing with dwyane and has charisma, the medias going to love him. And its fun to be a heat then.

The league's 2 p.m. deadline for trades made in advance of tonight's NBA Draft came and went without a move from Pat Riley and the Miami Heat.
Teams must now wait until the 7:30 p.m. start of the draft to consummate deals.
The Heat had little flexibility with the mid-day deadline, because, by rule, it has to exercise its first-round pick, at No. 2, before making a deal.
Under league guidelines, teams must exercise their own first-round pick at least once in any two-year period. Because the Heat's 2009 first-round pick could go to the Minnesota Timberwolves to complete the ill-fated October trade that delivered forward Ricky Davis, Riley is barred from dealing his pick before taking a player tonight at No. 2.
Once the Heat selects at No. 2, a pick that should come around 7:40 p.m., it then would be free to trade that player.
Several other trade rules could also slow the process, should the Heat elect to make a move.
Any deals involving impending free agents cannot be completed until July 9, when the league's annual offseason signing moratorium expires. So if the Heat were to opt to include impending free agents Davis or Jason Williams in such a draft-related package, it would have to wait two weeks.
Also, with the salary-cap calendar changing to 2008-09 on July 1, deals that might not fit under the cap tonight could work by next week. Such a scenario could impact Heat forward Shawn Marion, who this week bypassed his option to become a free agent this summer.
In recent years, it has not been unusual for teams to draft players for other teams, then move them weeks later, once trade rules and salary-cap issues are resolved.
Riley continues to maintain his public silence when it comes to the Heat's plans for tonight.

That Sonics and Clippers trade has to change something for us.
I guess Seattle found Miami was asking for too much and decided to just move down instead?
Chad Ford is also saying that Memphis is looking to move down so that would get them out as a trading partner too
