No, and this is retarded. We're not trading him either.

He kneed a player in the dick, then bitched on twitter, broke a players arm, broke a players nose,....but yea, he's not dirty.

Re: Is Dwyane Wade a dirty player?
If I was Spoelstra I would call a timeout and charge on the court and drop kick Wade in the throat every time he doesn't run back on defense.

Smithy, I have been a big fan of yours for a long time, especially for a brother who appreciates Joel's contribution and the blue collar defensive work that shaped this team but you are going to far.
I am pissed too when Wade is complaining to refs instead of getting back on D but to say shit like trading him or getting Spo to drop kick him. No. |

Re: Is Dwyane Wade a dirty player?
Honestly, end of the day, my biggest frustration is when he doesn't run back on defense.
Pisses me off. I've stood by a lot of sucky players in many sports who busted their butt. I'll support a no talent hack who is first to bust butt for the team much longer than I'll support a high talent player who coasts. The Heat will never trade Wade but at some point the guy has to stop his current trend or he'll lose a lot of popularity.

Re: Is Dwyane Wade a dirty player?
He's not getting traded. Waste of time to even bring it up. And he's now shooting his highest % of his career, on a career low minutes per game, and averaging the lowest FGA's since his rookie year. In the 12 december games he's averaging 22/4/4 on 56% (38% from 3). You wont find another player to get back that would come close to putting up the numbers Wade does in the amount of touches and minutes he plays.
The complaining and not getting back on D is annoying as hell, but we've lived with it for years now.

I also don't like him confronting coaches in timeouts, kicking guys in the balls........
He frustrates me next to LeBron's on court professionalism.

Re: Is Dwyane Wade a dirty player?
Away from direct basketball matters, this and the Spo blow-up are the most upsetting things he's done in my eyes. The Collison thing was dirty too, but, like, the balls, dude? The Rondo/Kobe things are a matter of extreme results coming from routine plays (though the Kobe foul was not a routine All Star game foul).
I think we're conflating basketball activities with ancillary matters. This is his first suspension, so it's not like this is a real trend. All I really care about is how he's producing, and he's gotten better and better as the season has progressed, getting fully back from the surgery. Not sure this has anything to do with that prediction of yours, Smithi. |

Re: Is Dwyane Wade a dirty player?
Hopefully we see changes in Wade's conducts on the court as he's always been seen in my eyes as a great personality both on and off the court, and all of this nonsense will be a simple wake-up call for the man as Smithian said, his popularity will take a great hit if otherwise corrected very soon. I speculate that the cause for his attitude problems on court is both a combination of frustrations he's had with recent injuries, and possibly drinking too much from the cup of his latest NBA championship.

Re: Is Dwyane Wade a dirty player?
Truthfully, Wade changed, he is more diva and less the humble stoic dude that I became a huge fan of in the mid 2000s. I like how he is showing much more emotions, I still love that clip of him climbing on the scorer's table and screaming this is my house but the complaining to refs and not getting back on D needs to go.
