Aw that's cute.

The only "real" (and I use that term loosely) chance of this happening is if the luxury tax forces Miami to move Bosh like people have said and Wade deteriorates at a pretty rapid speed between now and then.

Ha....

What's cute is that you're all of the sudden posting like you're a Heat die hard and there's no chance your boy Lebron whom you've been with from day 1 would ever leave the Heat.

You're right, that is cute.

I was hoping Dr. had begun typing something for the game thread and accidentally sent it.

Wouldn't surprise me if he left after his contract is up. Those saying it depends on Wade, his contact and Bosh's will all be up at the same time, so we'll have a ton of capspace to build around Lebron should he stay.

Still, wouldn't surprise me if he left to finish his career somewhere else. I'd be surprised if it was Cleveland though after all that happened.

More I think about it the less I would mind him leaving.

He'll leave after having won 2 or 3 championships and then we'll lose 2,873,049,2840 bandwagoners worldwide and can have a good old fashioned rebuild with a couple extra banners hanging from the rafters.

Call me crazy but I think Lebron will stay. I think he wants to leave a legacy with one franchise like most of the greats do.

I don't think Wade deteriorating would cause Lebron to leave. I think us being unable to put together a quality team like Cleveland couldn't do the first time would be the reason.

But if he does decide to leave, that's his choice and I'm grateful to have had him. I'm not gonna be salty about it like the Cryaliers fans.

Imagine the rebuilding pieces the Heat could get for Lebron if they see the writing on the wall and trade him before he actually opts out.

Its a different scenario.

If Lebron goes from saying "I want to play my whole career in Miami like the rest of the greats. I want to win multiple titles here", to chasing down reporters all year and says stuff like "Sure was fun to play in Chicago tonight, I like it here....... who knows right? Hey! Is that thing on? Record this its important!" spends the rest of the time saying all the wrong things about Miami management, and in the end has a big **** you TV show to let you know hes going to LA. You might be a bit more mad. You'll be fuming by the time you see him show up in a Lakers presser with fireworks going off everywhere and hes dancing and high fiving his new super team. Then tell you he's going to win like 8 titles because him and his new friends are the greatest thing to happen in pro sports ever.

Its just not the same situation. Lebron has grown up. If he leaves, he'll thank the city, the team and the fans, and then he'll leave for his new team and that will be that.

As I said, not really the same scenario.

He'll still be prime Lebron, so I assume you could have anything in the league if you decided to go that route.

What about my post makes me come off as a Heat die-hard? Clearly, everyone knows I ride with Ray wherever he's been since 96. I was actually a Mod of the Sonics board at one time.

Anyway, it's less-so that I think LeBron would never leave the Heat, and moreso that LeBron is never going back to Cleveland. He's burned that bridge, and most people in Ohio, outside of Cleveland, still like LeBron so it's not like he's concerned with getting those fans back. If he leaves, it's going to be for a better basketball situation (thus my explaining if Bosh is gone and Wade deteriorates)

Re: Cavaliers Preserving 2014 Max Cap Space For Possible Pursuit Of LeBron

The one that would surprise me the least is Bosh leaving for greener pastures. I think he's getting tired of being blamed for our struggles as the 3rd wheel. Plus he's not as tight with Wade and LBJ as those 2 are. I could see him bailing when his contract is up.
