Getting new hoop, will it be strong?
|
|
Click
I'm getting that hoop for christmas, but I was wondering, it says virtually indestructible on the description, but I'm not sure if I believe it, so either by the pictures or by experience, would a about 10 stone guy be able to dunk it?

Well, I'm 10 stone in weight. I don't know whether you Americans weigh in stone though? I'll get a online converter to put it into pounds, then I'll edit this post.
EDIT: I'm in between 120 lbs - 140 lbs.

oh ok, makes sense now. lol
im sure you can dunk on it. just try not to dunk too hard or stay hanging on the rim, you could bend it or possibly break it.
ive dunked on hoops like those before and i weigh 205 pounds (25 stones? lol). and they have lasted me a while.
so where exactly are you from? its great to have Heat fans from abroad

It's an English method of weight.^
I'm from England, I got into basketball last year, but it's only now that I'm starting to take it seriously, theres 14 pounds in a stone, and this will be my first net with a stand, I've just had ones that go onto the wall so far, but I am really exciting of getting this, I'll probably not dunk it loads, just practice my lay-ups which is my worst part of my game, probably has something to do with the fact that I'm only about 5 foot 4 and I'm 13 years old.
