Ben's NBA 2K7 Association
|
|
Like UD40, I'm going to keep track of all I do on the game, but I probably wont do the matches on the days they are actually on, I shall just go through it a bit, my first update will be today.
I would like you to comment on this thread here please, because I'm going to post virtually everything that happens, every injury, trade, etc. and I don't particually want this thread being cluttered by replies, so if you could comment there that would be great thanks.

Heat go for the free agents
Miami Heat have snapped up the contracts of two free agents, Glenn Robinson (SF) and Latrel Sprewell (SG).
Coach Pat Riley had this to say, "These two are real talents, and should push the starting team for their places, and no-one can be harmed by a bit of a competition for their places, it'll just bring out the best in the players."

Defending champions start with a win
Miami Heat beat Chicago Bulls 92-87 in the first game of the season, Wade was the Toyota Player of The Game, racking up 38 points, with 5 assists and 7 rebounds.
Wade said after the match, "It was great to get our first win, and I just felt great out there and felt like I couldn't stop getting the points."
It's not all great news though, Jason Williams is out for 4 days with a bruised foot, meaning he will miss the game at home vs. Nets on Friday.

Heat make it 2-0
Heat make it 2 and 0 at the start of this new season, with a easy victory against a below-par Nets team, Wade had another great match, this time getting 31 points, 3 assists, and 8 rebounds, as Heat win 104-87. Shaquille O'Neal was the Toyota Player of The Game, with 10 defensive rebounds, and getting 20 points, including a great break involving him and Wade, where he stole the ball from Kidd, bounce passed it to Wade and ran on to complete a Alley-Oop.

3-0
Miami Heat 86-81 Philidelphia 76'ers. Wade was declared unfit to play, thanks to an ankle injury he got in the pre-match warm up, and Pat Riley chose to play James Posey in his place. It only just worked with Posey missing a lot of unmarked shots, but he made up for them in the defensive part of his game, most of the points were got by O'Neal (27) and Williams (24). But nevertheless, a win for Heat and they are now 3-0.

Another Unconvincing Win For Heat
Heat 95-93 Sonics.
Miami Heat will breathe a sigh of relief after that match, as they have just learnt that Wade will be back in time for the Nets match, and they look like they really need him, it took two free throws in the last 11 seconds by Jason Williams to escape the match going to overtime, but Gary Payton and Dorrel Wright both looked good when they came up, racking up 19 points between themselves.

Wade back, Confidence back
Miami Heat 95 - 88 New Jersey Nets
Wade came back and it was like he was never gone, as he got 29 points, and Pat Riley handed Glenn Robinson his first start of the season, and he didn't dissapoint, getting 23 points. O'Neal got 8 defensive rebounds.

Heat get the double digit win
Miami Heat 120-104 Houston Rockets
This match was the Payton & Wright show, Payton got a great 34 points, nailing 4/5 3 pointers, and Wright got 30 points. Heat look great at the moment.

Mourning Out For A Month
Alonzo Mourning is out for a month with a broke ankle, which he got in training, where they were focusing on his ball-handling. Pat Riley is expected to try to get a center as cover for O'Neal or he may stick with Doleac as his cover.
