WASHINGTON (AP) - Arvydas Eitutavicius scored a season-high 23 points and hit three 3-pointers to lead American to an 85-75 win at Howard on Wednesday night.
The Eagles (7-2) ended the first half leading 45-24 after a 20-2 run marked by a pair of 3-pointers by Eitutavicius and one by Andre Ingram. The Bison (4-5) never came closer than 10 the rest of the game.
Ingram scored 21 points on three 3-pointers and had nine rebounds for American, which has won four straight and is off to its best start since the 1989-90 season. Paulius Joneliunas added 13.
Darryl Hudson had 20 points and was the only Howard player in double-figures.
