Quote:
PROBABLE SUPERSONICS STARTERS

Player Ht. From
G-Damien Wilkins 6-6 Georgia
G-Luke Ridnour 6-2 Oregon
F-Rashard Lewis 6-10 Alief, Texas
F-Chris Wilcox 6-10 Maryland
C-Nick Collison 6-9 Kansas

Coach: Bob Hill (second season, 32-41; ninth season overall, 289-253).

Injury report: Ray Allen (right ankle bone contusion) and Robert Swift (anterior cruciate ligament tear) are out. Danny Fortson (sore right knee) is doubtful
Quote:
About the SuperSonics: Seattle will be without former Bucks all-star Ray Allen, who is sidelined with a bone bruise of the right ankle. Since Allen went out of the lineup with his injury, the SuperSonics are 3-0, including a comeback, 117-115 home-court victory over Golden State on Sunday night. Damien Wilkins, starting in the backcourt in Allen's place, had a season-high 22 points and nine rebounds, and point guard Luke Ridnour had 13 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter. Seattle is opening a five-game trip that includes stops in four Central Division cities: Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit.

PLAYER TO WATCH

RASHARD LEWIS, SuperSonics

Lewis recently indicated he would not be surprised to be traded, given the fact he can opt out of his contract at the end of this season. He hasn't done anything to hurt his trade value, averaging 22.6 points and 6.6 rebounds while playing 40.0 minutes per game. The ninth-year pro has hit 32 of 33 free throws (97%) over the last six games, helping the SuperSonics rank second in the league in that category at 80.4%. Lewis needs 22 points to move ahead of Dale Ellis (9,405 points), currently sixth on the SuperSonics' all-time scoring list.
Quote:
VILLANUEVA BANGS ELBOW: Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva took a shot on his injured left elbow during practice on Monday, leaving his status in question for the game tonight. He had played the last two games in a reserve role and scored 24 points in 26 minutes Saturday night against the New York Knicks. Villanueva missed 10 games after suffering a torn left elbow ligament in Atlanta on Nov. 14. "The elbow was fine up until the end of practice," Stotts said. "He got hit."
Okay, who hit him?

Strange game. If Bob Hill could've drawn a play up that would've worked coming out of that last time out ........

The Bucks took 5 less field goal attempts, and made 5 less field goals, but won because of Redd going 10 for 10 from the free throw line. Also because Bogut hit a free throw to put us ahead.

Good to win, good to see a game where Mo doesn't throw up 25 shots, and another good performance from Ruben Patterson.

Game story:

http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=541115

Quote:
The Milwaukee Bucks started a tough four-game week on a positive note on Tuesday, holding on for a 94-93 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics at the Bradley Center.

All five Bucks starters scored in double figures, led by Michael Redd with 22 points and Ruben Patterson with 21.

Charlie Villanueva missed a three-point try from the top of the arc in the final seconds, and Seattle called a timeout with 2.5 seconds left.

Seattle inbounded the ball to point guard Luke Ridnour, but he was defended by Bucks forward Ruben Patterson and could not get a shot off until after the buzzer sounded.

Center Andrew Bogut had 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Bucks (9-12), and Villanueva added 15 points and six rebounds. Point guard Mo Williams had 12 points and nine assists.

Forward Rashard Lewis led Seattle (10-12) with 26 points, and forward Chris Wilcox added 16 points and eight rebounds.

Bogut provided the margin of victory when he sank the second of two free throw attempts with 1:14 left. Redd missed a shot with 50 seconds to go, and Seattle's Nick Collison missed in the lane, and Williams recovered the ball to set up the Bucks' final possession that ended with Villanueva's miss.

Villanueva converted a three-point play for a 91-90 lead with 3:35 remaining. After Damien Wilkins sank two free throws for Seattle, Villanueva hit a jumper to put the Bucks ahead, 93-92.

Seattle tied the score for the final time when Collison made 1 of 2 free throws with 1:29 left.

Yes he does! More Bogut shooting, less Mo Williams shooting.

I kinda believe that its because of the coaching. Stotts needs to limit Mo's shot attempts. Mo can be a VERY good PG in this league but he needs to make sure he can get everybody involved. I do believe that Bogut can be a top tier center and a great passer. Thats why this offense needs to go through him.
