How long will it be till Charlie Bell is traded?

No link, just stuff i heard on the radio, AM 1250 for anyone that cares. They played a sound clip of Charlie after the game on Tuesday and he had some pretty disheartening comments if you are a bucks fan. He made comments about how hard it is for him to get motivated to come to practice and how he really isnt looking for shots, and that he is still having a hard time getting over the Bucks matching Miamis offer sheet. I can just see this slowly becoming a problem. I can understand him being upset he didnt get to go where he wanted to go but thats the life of a restricted free agent. He is getting the exact same money he would have gotten with the heat so he shouldnt be upset about that. He complained about loyalty and the Bucks lack of it due to them waiting till the end of summer to sign him. Doesnt he realize that he was a NBA castaway playing in Europe and the Bucks made an effort to bring him back to the NBA and they gave him the playing time to prove himself again and warrant the 18 million he is going to get for the next 5 years. If his attitude doesnt improve soon this could turn real ugly. I hope it does because as a player he is one of my favorite Bucks but i dont want him dragging down the rest of the team.

He can't be traded until Dec. 15 under the CBA, so that's the earliest.

And frankly, if his attitude is like that, I don't know how many teams would be jumping up and down to get him.

His whole hurt feelings thing just kills me. The Bucks didn't do anything wrong in their negotiations. They made him a good offer before before the Miami offer, so what if it wasn't the number of years CB wanted. It doesn't mean the Bucks were being cruel, just realistic. CB's agent needed to explain reality to him before the summer began.

what i heard was sumthing along the lines of;

- milwaukee offered him $X over Y-years.
- bell aksed for more (eg. $XXX over YYY-years).
- milwaukee said they culdnt giv him that they just culdnt giv him that much rite now.
- miami offers him the said amount or close to it ($XXX over YYY-years).
- milwaukee matches despite telling him they ultimately culdnt afford to.

^ sumthing like that.. bell said he feels hurt becoz the bucks wernt up-front with him and the negotiation, and said sumthing lyk "im really disappointed they matches the offer sheet despite telling me and my agent they wuldnt go that high" or sumtthing..

Re: How long will it be till Charlie Bell is traded?

Charlie's attitude was the topic after practice:

Quote:
"It's a difficult situation," Bell said. "Right now, teams don't really have money to offer guys. He (Varejao) probably wants a little more than what I wanted. I hope he can get things worked out and get back there, because I think the team needs him."

Bell fielded plenty of questions from reporters after practice on Thursday, and they questioned if he could get back to being the "old Charlie" from a year ago.

"It's pre-season, and none of this stuff is going to be in the record books," Bell said. "Once the season starts, the slate is wiped clean. That's what I'm pushing for, just trying to be ready come opening night against Orlando on the 31st. Right now, I'm just trying to work through things."

Can he finally let it go, Bell was asked.

"Eventually, maybe," Bell said. "Who is to say? I'm just going to go out there and play, and see what happens."

Does he want to be traded?

"No, not right now," Bell said. "You don't hear me demanding trades and stuff like that. I'm just trying to go out and help this team win."
Bell not fond of the "R" word
