Coach K has a few words with hecklers
Seems a few fans got under Larry K's skin Tuesday night:
Quote:
Tuesday night at the Bradley Center will go down as the most forgettable of coach Larry Krystkowiak’s short career as head coach. For a number of reasons. Not only did the Bucks play poorly in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, but the smallest crowd of the season was on hand (announced at 13,186), and the word out of the Bucks locker room here Wednesday night was that an air of negativity existed among many fans seated in the proximity of the Bucks bench. Things got so bad that, in the closing minutes of the game, Krystkowiak had heated words with a group of fans seated along the baseline next to the Bucks bench and the fans were shown the door by ushers. The NBA has a code of conduct under which fans can be ejected for using profanities or inappropriate gestures.
Krystkowiak said before Wednesday’s game in Atlanta that he regretted the verbal exchange he had with the fans but explained that at the time, he felt that he was stepping into a situation before things “got out of hand.”
At various times during the game, Bucks players on the bench had verbal exchanges with the baseline fans and the Bucks assistant coaches were disturbed by some of the things that were being said by the fans. The Bucks were also chided by fans seated behind and across from the bench.
