Re: Game Thread, Bucks vs Golden State, FSN, 9:30 central
Will be interesting to see how the Bucks play. If they feed it inside - they have a better chance of winning this game. If its a guard orientated shoot out...i cant see them keeping up with the Golden State offense.
Some nice individual battles though:
Mo Will vs Baron Davis
Redd vs Monta Ellis
Desmond Mason vs Stephen Jackson
Yi vs Al Harrington
Bogut vs Biedrins

W's up 21 @ the half.
I've gotta say the Bucks are one of the more interesting stories (to me) in the league. On paper, they look pretty deep. It'll be interesting to see how this team develops as the season goes on.
I've only started watching this game w/ 8 minutes left in the first half - Yi's looked impressive in the limited minutes I've watched (nice 360 move - he didn't quite convert, and a nice put-back jam).
Wondering what Bucks fans thing about Coach Krystkowiak in general. Is he the right guy to lead this team? I can't help but think the Bucks have the talent to make some noise in the East.

Yi is impressive, but he still has a lot to learn. Good defensive instincts, and he's pretty quick.
As for Coach K - he's got the right ideas, a bit of execution is lacking. He's an improvement over Stotts whose main idea was to let Redd and Mo chuck the shot up and ignore everyone else on the floor.
The biggest issue right now is consistency. Consistency in making better shot selections, consistency in defensive efforts. Coach K seems to learn from his mistakes and successes, so I expect by the end of the year he'll be a better coach. I just hope the team on the floor starts making better decisions too.

The Milwaukee Bucks were overwhelmed by a far more aggressive team Wednesday night as they were pummeled by the Golden State Warriors, 120-90, at Oracle Arena.
The defeat dropped the Bucks' record to 1-1 on their Western trip and 8-9 overall.
Michael Redd led Milwaukee with 24 points, while Stephen Jackson and Baron Davis scored 20 points each for Golden State. The Bucks shot 40.2% and turned the ball over 25 times. Golden State made 15 of 22 three-point shots (68.2%).
The Warriors drained 6 three-pointers and led after one quarter, 30-25, and the roof then caved on the Bucks in the second quarter, when they were outscored, 27-11.
With the listless Bucks missing their first eight shots and 11 of their first 12, Golden State extended its lead to 43-27 midway through the second quarter. The Warriors scored the first eight points of the period. The Bucks later closed to within 11, but the Warriors then outscored Milwaukee, 12-2, to finish off the half.
In the second quarter, the Bucks made 5 of 23 shots (21.7%) and turned the ball over six times.
Golden State was in front by as many as 29 in the third quarter and took an 85-63 lead into the fourth. The final period was garbage time.
Before the Bucks even hit the road for their five-game Western trip, Desmond Mason laid it on the line.
"I think the hardest team on this trip is going to be Golden State," Mason said.
It was not necessarily a bold predication, since the Warriors are the only opponent on the trip with a winning record. But Mason's forecast also had something to do with the energized style of play the Warriors utilize that has them scoring more points per game than any team in the National Basketball Association.
And since energy is something the Bucks have not brought to the table on a regular basis, it's easy to see why the game Wednesday would be a bit challenging for the Bucks. Yes, energy has been an issue with the Bucks.

tough loss, Bucks fans.
As I said earlier, you guys look good on paper - I think you'll be a fun team to watch play. Only question mark I have is with Mo Williams as your starting PG - I've never been sold on him as a starter. Maybe I just need to watch him more...
regardless, good luck the rest of the way (minus the re-match in Milwaukee).
Re: Game Thread, Bucks vs Golden State, FSN, 9:30 central
as i said on the dubs board i'm a little confused on what you guys want from mo williams. he seems to pass the ball better now but has always struck me as sort of a hybrid and not that much better than charlie bell.. maybe i'm missing something but i don't see how he makes your other offensive players better. the roster is definitely in place for a good team though.

Mo is a hybrid player, and this year he is much better than Charlie Bell who seems to be in a funk about getting the contract he wanted, but not from Miami.
The team needs better movement, and Mo's been much better this year about not just coming down and chucking up the ball, but he still does it.

word, like i said he seems better this year, last year i swear sometimes he wouldn't even run a play when he came down the court. I didn't know Bell was having those issues that explains a lot. he seemed non-existent. i watched a few games last year when Mo had that injury and Bell was in and I just couldn't see much difference in team execution.
