PLAYER OF THE GAME: Forward Bostjan Nachbar came off the bench and scored 14 points, including a pair of key three-pointers in the fourth quarter that gave New Jersey a 12-point lead. "One time we had a breakdown in our zone," Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak said when asked about the consecutive three-pointers. "We kind of got sucked into the middle. The other one . . . I think two of our players got sucked in again and were double-teaming and they passed it right back out and Nachbar had his feet set. He came up big."
PLAY OF THE GAME: Nets guard Jason Kidd made only one field goal but it was big. The Bucks had trimmed a 12-point, fourth-quarter deficit to 78-77 when Kidd hit a back-breaking three-pointer with 1 minute 42 seconds left.
OFF THE BENCH: Krystkowiak was whistled for a technical foul late in the third quarter when he objected the physical treatment that center Andrew Bogut was taking inside. "I was looking for some foul calls," Krystkowiak said. "I think (Bogut) is getting beat up down there."
STATISTICS SHEET: The Bucks made three of 16 three-point shots (18.8%) in the first half and trailed by five. "I think if we can knock some of those down we have a five- or 10-poiint shot going into the break," Bogut said. The Bucks made six of 25 three-pointers (24.0%) in all.
