Cool information about Bogut
I'm from Melbourne, Andrew's home city, and I have some friends in Adelaide (another city about a 50 minute flight away) that were at the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport) while Bogut was there. One of them was actually seeing him for a while and spoke about how dedicated and hard working he was. He was the hardest worker they've ever seen apparently. That's not all that shocking as I'm sure most NBA players were the hardest workers where they were from, otherwise they wouldn't be playing in the best basketball league in the world.
Anyway, when he was home last year he was speaking about how much he loved the city of Milwaukee and that he thinks the organisation has a good sense and direction when it comes to being successful, and that atm they are just being patient. Personally, considering the poor state of basketball in Australia, I think it would have been better for the sport had he been playing at a more recognisable and successful ball club (no offense), but considering his thoughts on the club and the city and I think it he will eventually be the face and leader of the club if he isn't already. Apparently he is one of the coolest guys you can ever meet; down to Earth, fun and dedicated in everything he does.
This probably isn't news to some of you, but just thought I'd give the heads up on his own opinion on the situation he is in in Milwaukee. Also, he mentioned how not being at a club that is as prestigious as the Lakers or Bulls who have history and a Bryant he feels more inclined to be successful because he'll stand out more. That might sound a little self-indulgent, but it's always good to hear a player that is happy about his situation and is confident they can be successful where they are.
