Where do the Bucks go from here?
"We'll get everybody back, have a full slate of guys and get back to the drawing board," coach Larry Krystkowiak said.
Even the proverbial drawing board, though, might not have enough answers to save a team that couldn't hold a 17-point, third-quarter lead against a New York team that dragged an eight-game losing streak into town and owned the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference.
The Bucks looked to have everything going for them Saturday night.
Even though they were without the flu-stricken Mo Williams, they were as healthy as they had been in some time. They were playing at the Bradley Center, where they supposedly have an advantage, and the schedule had finally turned to their favor.
Looks, obviously, can be deceiving.
"We've got to be a better team," guard Charlie Bell said. "We've got to do a better job. If we get up, we need to put them away. I think that's been a problem all season, not being able to do the job defensively. When you get up like that, you not going to always make shots but you've got to be able to make stops."
The Knicks game again illustrated how soft this Milwaukee team is.
The Bucks do not have enough muscle to stop teams physically. That has been evident all season, but they also lack mental strength/
