Re: Game Thread, New Orleans (-4.5) @ Milwaukee 2/13/08
The Bucks couldn't beat bad teams this past week, now they're playing a good team.
Quote:
Teams: Milwaukee Bucks (19-33) vs. New Orleans Hornets (35-15).
When: 7 tonight.
Where: Bradley Center.
Broadcasts: TV - FSN Wisconsin cable. Radio - AM-620.
About the Hornets: After suffering through an injury-plagued season a year ago, they've been one of the surprise stories in the league this season, challenging for the best record in the highly competitive Western Conference. The Hornets, who are off to the best start in franchise history, have held 11 opponents to 85 points or fewer. The Hornets own the most victories against teams from the Western Conference (25).

He will be joined by teammate Chris Paul to become the eighth and ninth all-stars in Hornets history. West is averaging 19.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game and finished with 33 points and 10 rebounds Saturday in a victory over Memphis.

Quote:
PLAYER OF THE GAME: All five Hornets starters scored in double figures but Peja Stojakovic's
three-pointer with 15.1 seconds left proved to be the winner. "We do a heck of a job executing," Hornets coach Byron Scott said. "Especially when the game is on the line."
PLAY OF THE GAME: Did Redd think he shot too quickly on his final shot? "They flew at me," he said. "Once again, the mind-set was to try and win the game. It just didn't work out."
OFF THE BENCH: Center Dan Gadzuric, who did not play in the previous two games, played the first 10 minutes of the second quarter and had six points on 2-for-6 shooting. He made both of his free throws and grabbed three rebounds with one steal and one block. Gadzuric, though, did see one layup rim out after the public address announcer had already begun announcing his name as having scored. He finished with six points and three rebounds in 15 minutes.
STATISTICS SHEET: In the first half, the Bucks had 17 assists on their 20 field goals. They finished with 29 assists on 40 baskets.
