JSOnline: Aim is to make most of 29 games left
Quote:
St. Francis - Charlie Villanueva and Royal Ivey spent a couple of days in the Dominican Republic during the all-star weekend.
Villanueva, whose parents were born in the Caribbean country, basked in the sunny, warm weather before returning to the "arctic" climate of Wisconsin as the Milwaukee Bucks resumed practice Monday night at the Cousins Center.
"It was about 90," Villanueva said. "I was in shorts, man."
But the chilly winds of reality are blowing against Villanueva and his Bucks teammates. They have just 29 games left in the season, beginning Wednesday with the first in a back-to-back set against the streaking Detroit Pistons.
Detroit will take a 10-game winning streak into a home game against Orlando tonight, before facing the Bucks on Wednesday night at the Bradley Center and on Friday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
The four-day weekend couldn't have hurt the Bucks, who entered the break with a 19-34 record after losing seven of their last eight games.
"Maybe we can go for 20 (victories), just try to blow it out," reserve guard Charlie Bell said after a spirited practice that featured 13 healthy bodies. "Everybody is writing us off. We can go out there with nothing to lose.
"It's not like everybody is expecting us to be in the playoffs. We've just got to go out there and play hard."

So no pressure could mean better play?
No cushion on hot seat
